Jessica Walsingham is the middle child of the prestigious pureblood Walsingham family, which has been playing hardball in both Muggle and wizarding politics since the reign of Good Queen Bess. Her mother, the former Jezebel Umbridge, left her father when she was a small child, and her father married a foreign woman who is part Veela and rather scandalous. Their daughter, her younger half sister Corisande, is the bane of her existence--as if her scandalous elder brother Will weren't bad enough.
